Orton scarecrow festival and church exhibition

I thought some of you may find this interesting, a few people have asked when the scarecrows and exhibition began, after a few enquiry’s, Heather Balantyn passed this on to me.
The scarecrow side came into action I believe from the pub, then in around 2000 Heather, Dot Coates and Jackie Huck took it on and ran the theme alongside the church exhibition.
