Sawmill Technician / Trainee Forester
We’re building a small, hands-on team at Winton Estate, working across 800 acres of mixed woodland and a newly established sawmill, adding value to timber from woodland management through to high-quality sawn products.
We’re looking for someone practical, curious, and keen — who enjoys hands-on work, machinery, and problem-solving. No sawmilling experience is required, as full training will be provided.
🪚What you’ll do:
• Keep sawmill production running safely, smoothly, and efficiently
• Work with timber from log through to sawn products and by-products
• Handle stock in the yard and support day-to-day operations
• Assist with deliveries and customer liaison when required
• Support woodland work as part of a flexible estate team
💡 What we offer:
• Salary: £27,500–£30,000 (DOE)
