We'd like to give a MASSIVE shoutout to George at Main Street Music for making this new initiative happen!

George has been collecting and fixing up second hand guitars and generously donating them to the Tanyard. We are now at a place where we have enough guitars to go around during sessions, and a number of extras to 'rent' out for free to those members want to keep practicing at home.

We always aim to make the arts as accessible to children and young people as possible and George as helped us expand beyond the limitations of the drop in.

It's times like this that highlight how important community involvement is to projects like ours. Without the support of locals we would not be able to offer the provisions and initiatives we do!

George has not only been supporting the Tanyard, but has been actively involved in the local schools and community projects. He has an amazing attitude towards supporting people and organisations locally and it's safe to say Pembroke is a better place with him in it!

For such a young business owner he is really setting the bar high and showing what real community support can do, so thanks again George, for everything you do!

We’re rather excited to share something new… our beautiful new logo for Cwtch Woodland Retreat, Pembrokeshire, brilliantly designed by Signspeed. We think it captures the peaceful woodland charm of Cwtch perfectly and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

If you haven’t discovered Cwtch yet, it’s our cosy woodland retreat available for exclusive site hire and sleeping up to eight people in comfortable cabins, with the option to add bell tents if you’re bringing a bigger group along. Perfect for relaxed get-togethers in nature. There’s also our log-fired hot tub and sauna, ready and waiting after a day exploring Pembrokeshire.

✨ Pembroke is Powered by Its People ✨

For the past three years, Pembroke Town Team has been working voluntarily to support, celebrate and strengthen our town and we couldn’t be prouder of what this community has achieved together.

From the Lantern Parade to Saint David’s Day, 3 legged races, to fundraising for our bells, from Pembroke Soup to community collaborations, we’ve seen first-hand what happens when people come together with good intentions and a shared love for Pembroke ❤️

We’ve built a strong social media platform that any local group can use to promote their events. We’ve delivered successful initiatives with very limited funding. We’ve created partnerships between businesses, charities and community groups.

But here’s the honest bit…

Like many groups, we’re feeling the strain.
Funding is harder to secure. Costs are rising. Volunteers are fewer. And the same small group of people can only carry so much.

This isn’t a lack of passion, Pembroke has plenty of that.
It’s simply a lack of capacity.

So we’re asking:

👉 Would you consider getting involved?

We’re currently looking for:
• A small team to help run Pembroke Soup (with full backing, insurance and support from us).
• Committee members to help with newsletters, website updates, grant applications or sponsorship.
• People who can volunteer occasionally at events
• Anyone who enjoys bringing people together and building community.

We’re also launching a private Pembroke Community Support Facebook group, a shared space for charities, churches, CICs and community groups to request volunteers, share equipment, promote fundraisers and support one another. Because none of us should be doing this alone.

Pembroke doesn’t belong to one group. It belongs to all of us.

If we share the workload, we can share the rewards — and keep building a town we’re proud to call home.

It was designed by the very talented (and equally lovely) Di Ford. Di is a collage artist who’s all about creativity, wellbeing and connection.
