Leading up to the event Devon Z Events entered all participating teams into following competition.

---COMPETITION---

We have been in talks with the famous author Antony J. Stanton who wrote the fantastic zombie books Once Bitten Twice Die trilogy.

He has very kindly offered the following prizes for the lucky winners who have purchased tickets for this event.

Prizes are : -
1 - Signed copy of The Once Bitten Twice Die post apocalyptic zombie trilogy by Antony J. Stanton
2 - The opportunity for the story to be rewritten, making the winner the hero or chief protagonist. This includes team members becoming other characters.
3 - The winner to become the main character in the forthcoming book.
4 - The winner having a character in the TV series named after them.

Operation Z commences on the 28th and 29th of October. The CIDC have acquired some intelligence that may help you in your quest to save mankind from this epidemic. Bites from the infected will turn any human into a zombie within seconds; symptoms from scratches will take longer to materialise in the individual who is in question. In any case paralysis will be the final stage before the victim turns.
Early stage zombies (stage 1) seem more rapid in their responses to light, noise and movement. They tend to bite or scratch the victim purely to pass on the infection without feeding. In the secondary phase (stage 2), they are more ravenous and require to feed more often to fuel their necrotic co**se, the human victims flesh acts like a stimulant to their failing organs. The tertiary stage (stage 3) sees abnormal outbursts of strength hence leading them to have an insatiable appetite for the living, many of whom who fall victim to this stage of zombie will be completely devoured. Due to the state of their rotting human form they are slower in terms of speed and responsiveness.
In light of this new evidence your techniques to survive will need to take into consideration the stage of zombie you will be faced with during the operation. CIDC Over and Out...

Operation Z commences on the 28th and 29th of October. After losing communication from inside the zoo the CIDC sent a drone over the compound to see if there were any survivors. As you can see there are heat signatures in these areas which would mean only 2 things, we have picked up the animal heat signatures still locked in their enclosures or we have located survivors. Only you and your team can find the answer.

Current day 15th of September 2017. We are now 28 days after the outbreak.

When the virus began to over run the living and we were unable to keep it quarantined, it was deemed that Dartmoor Zoological Park was to become a scientific compound, where all the countries most promising and experienced scientists combined with disease control experts would gather to create a cure for the national outbreak. Whether this outbreak is world wide is as yet unknown as communications have been unobtainable.
Dartmoor Zoo is secluded from the general populous and it has insurmountable scientific research to hand.
Two days ago we had a positive result from one of the science labs from a subject known as number 47.
However, we have now lost all communication with South west survival and the scientists from inside the compound and we fear the worst.
If any survivors are reading this message we, the CIDC, need your help to find out what's happened.
What we need you to do is to select a strong team of 6-10 people who are willing to sacrifice their own lives for the greater good and to preserve man kind. The road will be hazardous and we can not guarantee the safety of your team but the time has come to fight, to fight for the living and the human race...... Can you take on mission code name Zoombie?
