So we have had some interest in joining/ taking over the committee, early days but we are excited that the cherry pie day may have a future🥰👍🏼💪
With this in mind we have set up a full committee meeting in September to welcome new members , talk through what’s involved, explain the support we can offer to new members.🍒🥰🍒🥰

Anyone with an interest in being involved is welcome to join us just to get all the information you need to make an informed decision for yourselves.🙏💪🍒

Great news post :-

One of our auction prizes was a £100 site credit voucher on a local raffle ticket site.

This voucher donated by Coast2Coast Comps was won and received by the highest bidder.🎉👍🏼🙏

We found out today that the lucky bidder went on to win £100 in a raffle last night for just £1.78 of their site credit. 🏆💪❤️🍒🍒🍒🍒

First of many appreciation posts :-

To put our event on we have lots and lots of volunteers beyond the core committee. These are the people that turn up on the Thursday for the preparation day, the Friday to build our site, erect marquees and tents and prepare the site, then on Saturday morning moving everything else out of the centre to its correct place on site, stock, fridges, freezers, BBQ, fryers and much much more.
Many of them then start again towards the end of the day to pull it all down again and help on the Sunday morning. 🙏🏼😍❤️🍒

This event would not happen without these local heroes and for that we are so so grateful, the list is too long to post but you know who you are. 🙏🏼😍🙏🏼😍🙏🏼😍

And then we have Hookhills Community Centre and their committee/trustees and fantastic bar staff ,again without their support ( resource and logistics ) we would not be able to undertake this large-scale free community event .🥰👍😍🙏🏼

This event is made possible by all of the above people.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Well now the dust has settled, and probably the first time today I’ve felt something like normal. 🤣

I’d just like to, on behalf of our committee thank everyone for turning out to help us make the day a success, I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as we enjoyed delivering it. 💪🎉🙏👍🏼🕶️☀️

I think you’ll all agree we did it again and we brought the community together again. 🍒🍒🍒🍒

We have lots of thank you’s to celebrate in upcoming posts but for now the thanks is to you all for turning up.🙏💪🎉

What a great day setting up the site for tomorrow, many thanks to all that turned out to help , great to see you all 🍒❤️👍🏼🙏

Please be mindful of the weather forecast. We are set for outstanding weather- with this in mind we have reduced the cost of bottled water on the refreshments and purchased even more this afternoon, extra parasols will be added to the site and you are welcome to bring gazebos but please keep them on the fence line and not in the main event area.
