Due to the weekend storm forecast of heavy rain and high winds Mid Devon CC and South West Cyclocross League took the decision to postpone Sunday’s Round 7 & regional championships at the Velopark. This is for rider and volunteer safety. A new date will be announced very soon.

Saturday is looking good and the Velopark course has been freshly cut this week and is looking FAST! Last weeks event had a nice turnout and was great practice for riders young, old, new or experienced.

Thanks to everyone who came along to Torbay Velopark for the first of two Summer Cyclocross events. U10’s had a great turnout and also the Adult/Junior race worked well as a pursuit format with master’s European champ Robin Delve tasked with chasing the rest of the field.
Thanks to Rob Woodger for help setting up on Friday afternoon before the overnight storm. Andrew Parker for scoring and coaching, Robin Delve for marshalling youth races, Sarah Miller for sign on help, Oli Masters for First Aid and of course all the riders, familes and friends for making these fun races on the new short course.
Same again next Saturday 26th August.

Here we go then. Some fun races with some coaching beforehand. If you’re keen to try cyclocross or curious why people run around muddy fields carrying their bike this is for you. Also for anyone wanting some pre-season racing on a compact but technical course. BC entry will be live soon (Velopark SummerCross) but entry on the day too.
