Stamp Out Prejudice, Hatred and Intolerance Everywhere.
19 years ago today - Sophie Lancaster was taken from us as a result of a heinous attack. An attack that sent shockwaves within our communities, shared spaces and beyond - and with each passing year, we continue to commemorate the life of a young woman who should still be with us today.
The Sophie Lancaster Foundation continues to remind us of the message of acceptance and tolerance. To include. To welcome. To learn from others, rather than cast aside through ignorance and senseless judgement. Our shared spaces are for all - and the Sophie Lancaster Foundation is an inspiring beacon of hope and motivation to continue doing our individual parts in striving towards togetherness through an increasingly divided world.
Today - we at Rabidfest send our thoughts to those close to Sophie. To those close to Sylvia. And to those at the Sophie Lancaster Foundation whose continued efforts to educate, inspire and advocate for us all to live our lives, our way - without fear, without exception.
