Lincoln College JCR Musical 2021

I am delighted to be able to announce that we raised £322.48 from the retiring collection to go towards the JCR Musical 2022! Thank you so much to our four wonderful audiences for their support of both this musical and the next production, we are delighted to be able to assist the next musical in this way.

I would also like to say another congratulations and thank you to every single member of the committee, cast and crew for their incredible work this term. After the 2020 Musical was cancelled, coming into this production with no prior experience was daunting to say the least, but the effort you all put into this performance meant that we were able to achieve four amazing performances with only six weeks of rehearsals. Being the Manager and Musical Director of this production was an unforgettable experience, and I am so glad that we have been able to bring musical theatre back to Lincoln!

In our performance yesterday evening, we were honoured to have the original cast and crew of "The Legend of Troy" in the audience - the Square Drama Circle from Dunstable. Being able to share our production of this show with them was an incredible experience, as was being able to meet everyone afterwards!

The composer of the show, Chris Burrett, was also in the audience, and said he was blown away by the talent of our cast and crew!

Our first two performances are today!

Doors open half an hour before the shows - 14:00 this afternoon and 19:30 this evening. For any members of the audience who are not a member of College, there will be a member of the Front of House team waiting to meet you outside of Lincoln College and take you to the Oakeshott Room where the performance will be held.

We can’t wait to see you all today!

Audience Update:

With our first performances taking place tomorrow, we wanted to let you know about the retiring collection at each of our performances. Thanks to the generous support of Lincoln College, the tickets to our production are completely free, but we will be doing a retiring collection to support the 2022 JCR Musical. This production has benefited so much from the retiring collection organised by the 2019 JCR Musical, and we want to do the same for next years musical. The collection will be cash-only, and we would be so grateful for any and all donations.

We look forward to seeing our first two audiences at our two-show day tomorrow!

The Lincoln JCR Musical has a very exciting announcement…

We have an additional 15 tickets now available for each performance of 'The Legend of Troy'!!

If you missed out on a ticket the first time around (because they sold out super quickly!!), this is your chance to get one! Tickets are FREE and the performance is in the Oakeshott Room in College.

Our dress rehearsal was last night and the show is looking amazing, so please do some along and support our wonderful cast and crew entirely made up of members of the JCR!!

Hi everyone! With just a few days to go now until the show and our tech/dress rehearsal this evening, we thought we would take this opportunity to say how excited we are for you to see the show, and to remind you of our COVID-19 Policy.

Our policy for audience members:

We recommend that all audience members do a Lateral Flow Device Test within 24 hours before the performance. Please do not attend the performance if this is positive.
On the doors of the Oakeshott Room (where the performance will be held) there is also the track & trace QR code that we kindly ask external guests (non-Lincoln members) to scan
We recommend that face coverings are worn when inside college buildings, including the Oakeshott Room (unless you are exempt) by all audience members.

One week to go until our first performances! The cast and crew have just completed an incredible full run-through, which means we have even more rehearsal photos to share!

For the first time in 609 days, every West End theatre has officially recommenced live shows, and in 11 days we will be transforming the Oakeshott Room into our very own theatre for our production of “The Legend of Troy”. With four sold-out performances we can’t wait to bring back musical theatre to Lincoln!

Thank you to everyone who has booked their ticket to come and see "The Legend of Troy", all of our performances have officially sold out!

There are only 8 tickets left to our production of "The Legend of Troy"! The Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday performances have all sold out, so Saturday afternoon is the only performance with tickets remaining, so make sure to book your ticket now!
