Super Triple Cup Sunday!🏏

Our 1XI host Ormskirk in what should be a thriller game at The Paddock, whilst our 3XI & 4XI travel to Clifton and Dukinfield in their respective cup ties!

After a 12 point day yesterday we're hoping the boys can bring back the W's!

Friday Night T20!🏏

The team travel up to Greenfield this evening for the 3rd fixture of the T20 competition. Looking to keep up the pace after last week's victory over Heyside!

+++2026 ROSE BOWL PAIRS+++

On Sunday (31/5/26) we held our annual Rose Bowl Pairs Club Competition

28 entries meant 14 pairs with 2 pairs gaining a bye into the QFs

After the draw was expertly done by the Bowling Chairman and his glamorous assistant, two excellent Round of 16 games saw Liam Lambert and Stephen Kelly squeeze home against Liam’s grand daughter Shannon and her partner Nigel Pollitt 21-18

Comeback of the afternoon saw Lynda McNamara and Brad Smalley reverse a 17-3 deficit against Brenda Maguire and Keith Gledhill to win 21-19 after lying game against them at the penultimate end

The 4 Quarter Finals were relatively comfortable victories for the 4 pairs who moved onto the Semi Finals

In the 1st Semi, Jimmy Allen and Zac Stott were 10-4 up against Wayne Jones and Peter Ashton but Wayne and Peter then went 14-13 up at the 15th end

But that was as good as it got for Wayne and Peter as Jimmy and Zac ran out to progress 21-14

In the other SF, Dorothy Ashton and Matt Newton were always in control against Stuart Milne and David Brown; a brief flurry enabled Stuart and David to reach double figures but Dorothy and Matt eased through 21-10

In the Final, it was nip and tuck all the way to 10 across after 12 ends before Dorothy and Matt turned on the after burners to stretch away and reach the finishing line with a 21-11 scoreline

A great afternoon’s bowling on a fine afternoon weather wise
