So...
Last night we witnessed something amazing at The Aberdeen Beach Ballroom. 'Rise of the Spartans' showcased some unbelievable displays of technical ability, strength, stamina, and heart, to a sold out venue with around 1200 spectators, and through the power of the internet and KPX.TV, over 3000 people tuned in to watch the live stream. Simply, outstanding. The biggest event in Aberdeen to date.
The venue, setup, production, MC, spectators, fighters, atmosphere, everything. Just awesome. A real showcase of some of Scotland's talent was on display, and the crowd were loving it. Absolute madness.
Would like to thank all fighters and coaches who travelled from across the UK and Europe to be part of the event, and showing their support over the years. My utmost respect to all athletes who entered the cage last night.
A massive thank you to the team at KPX.TV and Kreopix Digital Media for their work over the last few months, and allowing us to show the whole event live to the rest of the world. Their level of production and digital work is literally second to none, and urge anyone wanting to expand or promote their business to get these lads on board. The only company in Scotland specialising in this service, check them out folks.
We would like to mention the members of the armed services who graced us with their presence last night. We always like to honour our soldiers, and was great to see them enjoying the show. Top lads.
The promoters of Rise of the Spartans would like to give thanks to our main Sponsors;
Aberdeen Combat Centre, the city's number one combat sports and fitness centre. Home of Aberdeens very own Spartan Fight Team, Powerhouse Fitness, Smart Tec Nutrtion, and Andrew Gordon 'freshfoodguru.co.uk' - and our many fight sponsors for showing their support to our local fighters and athletes;
SFS Specialist Firecoat Systems, Nazma Tandoori Aberdeen, local author George Craig and his latest book 'Gleninch', Results Gym Aberdeen, AC Construction, SJA Engineering, Global Resources, The Spirit Level Bar, and our ring girls and fundraising team from Number 7 Club, Aberdeens number one burlesque and pole dancing club.
I'd like to give a special mention to CLAN Cancer Support, a charity who dedicate their time helping families and victims of this horrible disease. All fundraising and donations from last nights show go to CLAN.
And thanks to all staff and officials for giving their time to support our show;

Special thanks to Chris, Michelle, and Mark Farman for all their help and work behind the scenes, and with the promotion and running of the event.
