Fight videos are now up from the Rise of the Spartans...

Unfortunately YouTube is a bit ding and due to copyright reasons won't allow playback on some of the videos on mobile, but all are available on PC. Some cracking displays of technique, determination, and heart.

Well done to all fighters involved in the show. Respect to you all.
Thanks to the lads of Kreopix // kpx.tv for providing such a professional service, and making the event production second to none.

So...

Last night we witnessed something amazing at The Aberdeen Beach Ballroom. 'Rise of the Spartans' showcased some unbelievable displays of technical ability, strength, stamina, and heart, to a sold out venue with around 1200 spectators, and through the power of the internet and KPX.TV, over 3000 people tuned in to watch the live stream. Simply, outstanding. The biggest event in Aberdeen to date.

The venue, setup, production, MC, spectators, fighters, atmosphere, everything. Just awesome. A real showcase of some of Scotland's talent was on display, and the crowd were loving it. Absolute madness.

Would like to thank all fighters and coaches who travelled from across the UK and Europe to be part of the event, and showing their support over the years. My utmost respect to all athletes who entered the cage last night.

A massive thank you to the team at KPX.TV and Kreopix Digital Media for their work over the last few months, and allowing us to show the whole event live to the rest of the world. Their level of production and digital work is literally second to none, and urge anyone wanting to expand or promote their business to get these lads on board. The only company in Scotland specialising in this service, check them out folks.

We would like to mention the members of the armed services who graced us with their presence last night. We always like to honour our soldiers, and was great to see them enjoying the show. Top lads.

The promoters of Rise of the Spartans would like to give thanks to our main Sponsors;

Aberdeen Combat Centre, the city's number one combat sports and fitness centre. Home of Aberdeens very own Spartan Fight Team, Powerhouse Fitness, Smart Tec Nutrtion, and Andrew Gordon 'freshfoodguru.co.uk' - and our many fight sponsors for showing their support to our local fighters and athletes;

I'd like to give a special mention to CLAN Cancer Support, a charity who dedicate their time helping families and victims of this horrible disease. All fundraising and donations from last nights show go to CLAN.

Awesome interview from the good folks at Fight Scotland on our upcoming show... Cracking read. Thanks lads.

Good to see a bit of national support to our cause. Check it out folks.

I see main events as a massively trivial thing. That’s the answer I get when I ask Rise Of The Spartans promoter Nathan Mcdonald who will be headlining the show. …it’ll be whichever two fighters I think will put on the best show on the night and to be honest I haven’t decided yet.” There …

So... Rise of the Spartans is around the corner, so we figured it's about time to let people know about the production side of things...

We are very pleased to announce that 'Rise of the Spartans' will be streamed LIVE online by the amazing guys at KPX.TV, and can be viewed through their website at http://kpx.tv/schedule and through their YouTube channel.

Unfortunately the match up between Kieran Conner and Sean Elliott (Pro Edge Martial Arts, Bathgate) is off.

Last week Sean was 'apparently' locked up for some reason, although he still managed to delete his page and block all contact. I managed to get a hold of his coaches who suggested I pull the fight as Sean is 'apparently' in a bad place.

I've never experienced such lack of professionalism from a fighter. Sean is ISKA and WKA Scottish kickboxing champion, and if this is how he conducts himself then he's a disgrace to his titles and his club. The fight has been booked for nearly 6 weeks, and he has had tickets sent to him. To basically run away and get his coaches to clean up the mess is a complete joke. Kieran has trained hard, dropped weight, sold tickets, and is ready to fight. Now he's left without an opponent for this weekend. Total joke.

I can only apologise to everyone affected by this, and hope that any promoters reading this will avoid using Sean for any of their shows in the future.
