We had a great start to the 2026 Boogies in February with ten to choose from. The Foundry had a great turnout with over 130 of you boogie-ing to the amazing Pepperpot, a fantastic afternoon was had by all, and our thanks go to Kieran and the staff for their organisation and continuing welcome. It's the beginning of Spring tomorrow so hopefully it will make you want to come out of hibernation, if you've not already done so, and mingle with your fellow Boogiers. You have 10 to choose from and remember you can visit as many as you wish, there'll always be a warm welcome. Have fun 🥰🕺👠☘️💃

Thanks to Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership for the reminder that February is coming to a close in a week or so, but that there are still some fantastic Boogie in the Bar opportunities for you all to enjoy:

Wednesday 18th February- 12:00-14:00 Oldmachar British Legion ( Bridge of Don).
Thursday 19th February- 12:30-16:30 The Foundry (Live music with Pepperpot)
Thursday 26th February- 12:00-14:00 The Abbot (Kincorth)
Friday 27th February- 12:30-14:30 Culter Mills Social Club (Peterculter)

What a great start to the 2026 Boogies with 10 on the calendar for February. You'll notice that the Torry Boogie has moved venue from the White Cockade to the Nigg Bay Golf Club, we wish them every success for their venue.
With the calendar filling up we're running out of room for comments so please remember that all the venues provide light refreshments at no cost, but that donations are always welcome as these help to keep the Boogies running.

AMENDMENTS TO JANUARY 2026 CALENDAR
Please note that there is no Peterhead Boogie this month, see you on 12th February for the Valentine Boogie. There will be one at the Abbotts Lounge, Kincorth on the 29th January 12 - 2pm.
And don't forget the Boogie at the Foundry on the 22nd. See you there ###

Anne and Eva would like to wish a very Happy and Healthy New Year to all the Boogie in the Bar venues, organisers, volunteers and the Boogiers who make it all happen. There'll be lots happening in 2026 so keep in touch via Messenger or phone and keep an eye on the page so you don't miss any news. Most of the Boogies are having a rest in January 2026 except two, so if you're near Peterhead on the 14th or The Foundry, Aberdeen on the 22nd call in and see what it's all about, and for you regulars we look forward to seeing you again for another year of boogie-ing and blethering.

To all the Boogiers out there check out the December calendar below, there's so many Boogies for you to choose from. For the first time the Abergeldie Bar on Holburn Street is hosting a Christmas Special Boogie on the 12th, and the Foundry is having 2 Boogies, one with live music on the 4th and the usual Boogie with Christmas lunch on the 18th. On top of that there are another 8 so what a great start to the Christmas festivities. Don't be shy, go along to one or more of the Boogies, you'll get a warm welcome and good music, some lunch a blether and hopefully a boogie on the dance floor. Boogie in the Bar hopes you all have a lovely Christmas and our very best wishes for 2026. 🎅🕺🎄🥂🎹🎁🎈

The Foundry is open from 12pm today.

Boogie in the Bar is still on as we have no way of reaching the people that attend. So for anyone that comes you will still receive a free hot meal and there will be some music. But please stay safe and don’t take unnecessary risk.

If we don’t see you today we will see you on the 4th of December for the next Boogie
