Have you ever looked a hawk in the eye? Been nose‑to‑beak with a magnificent bird of prey? This is your chance! Come along and get your photo taken with a real live bird of prey - an unforgettable moment for kids and grown‑ups alike.

🌊 Adventure Oban Touchpool Experience
Prefer your creatures a little… soggier? Adventure Oban will be joining us with their amazing touchpool, giving you the chance to meet the incredible sea creatures that live all around our coast — the ones we rarely get to see up close. It’s hands‑on, fascinating, and perfect for curious minds.

🍪 Biscuit Decorating Competition
And don’t forget our colourful, creative Biscuit Decorating Competition for ages Under 5, 5–7, 8–11 and 12–15. Bring your decorated biscuit along at 10.30am — judging at 11.30am!

🍪✨ Biscuit Decorating Competition at The Great Oban Food Market! ✨🍪

Calling all mini makers, creative kids and imaginative biscuit geniuses - it’s time to get decorating! As part of The Great Oban Food Market at Corran Halls on Saturday 26th September, we’re hosting a Biscuit Decorating Competition packed with colour, creativity and delicious fun, and it's totally FREE to enter!

Under 5
5–7
8–11
12–15

🏆 Special awards: THere will be prizes for the best, or funniest, or simply most magical biscuit in each age category.

Decorate your biscuit at home - you can bake your own base or use store‑bought. It’s all about the decoration inspiration. Sparkles, creatures, characters, colours, themes… whatever your imagination dreams up.

Just came across this lovely little list - placing Oban in the Top 10 'Independent' seaside towns in the whole of the UK!

The study found that 94% of its cafes are independent, as are 90% of its pubs, 96% of its restaurants and 97% of its shops.

Our wonderful shops and businesses in town make this such a fantastic place to visit, & live in, but they can only continue to support our town, if we support them. 💖

🎅🚒 Santa’s Grotto Christmas Drive‑In at Oban Fire Station!
Thursday 3rd December | 18:30–20:30

Get ready for a magical, one‑of‑a‑kind Christmas experience - Santa is swapping his sleigh for the Fire Station, and our incredible local firefighters are hosting a sparkling Drive‑In Grotto for families across Oban & all surrounding areas!

Bring the kids for a safe, fun, unforgettable visit with Santa, surrounded by lights, laughter and the heroes who keep our community safe all year round. ❤️

Donations on the night will be shared between Oban Winter Festival and The Fire Fighters Charity - supporting local festive events and the wellbeing of our frontline heroes.

Come along, show your support, and kick off December with some true Oban Christmas magic. ✨🎄🚒

This Friday at The Rockfield Centre

🎬FILM FOR NEPAL🎬Fundraising money and awareness for the current flood crisis in Nepal.

Sunday 13 Sept at The Rockfield Centre. Door open at 7pm, film starts at 7.30pm

"Entry is not ticketed but we will be accepting donations upon arrival. We will also have limited edition T-shirts for sale.

All proceeds will be donated to Bring Back The Smile To Nepal for immediate relief and documentation of the current situation in the Trishuli river corridor.

Come and join us for an evening of film, dialogue and shared love for our Earth and humanity. Bring yer pals."

🎬 Ready for something NEW & EXCITING this December? We are delighted to announce Oban's first ever DRIVE IN MOVIE NIGHTS!

On Sat 12th and Sun 13th December we will be running 2 movies each evening - perfect for a family night out, a date night - or simply treating yourself to a unique experience!

The Drive-In will be held at Oban Airport, and tickets will be prices per car.
