Join us tomorrow for the first of our Wednesday concerts of the new school year, performed by musicians from Oakham School. Tomorrow we have a performance of J S Bach’s cantata “Ich habe genug”, performed by James Robinson (baritone), Emilia Hubbard (oboe), Toby White (cello) and John Mountford (organ). Bach wrote this cantata to be performed at the Purification of Mary in 1727.

Due to a school timetabling change, these Wednesday concerts will start and end ten minutes later, so a 1:40pm start. Entry FREE with donations towards the church’s Concerts Society.

All ready for this morning’s organ recital, beginning at 11:15am! 🎹🎶

Our Wednesday lunchtime concert on 27th August will be performed by Harry Jacques (tenor), Joshua Davis (horn) and Peter Davis (piano). The programme will include Britten’s setting of Edith Sitwell’s “Still Falls the Rain”, which decries the bombing of London in 1940. The concert will begin at 1:30pm. Admission FREE with retiring donations.

Many thanks to Katherine, Cason and Rachel for a wonderful lunchtime concert on Wednesday, which boasted a lovely balanced programme of J S Bach, Madeleine Dring, John Williams and Dorothy Howell.

Join us next Wednesday at 1:30pm for piano music by Ravale, performed by John Dobson. Admission FREE with retiring collection.
