We're almost there!

Despite the most challenging weekend in 34 years, Nottingham Green Fair (replacing Nottingham Green Festival) is less than 8 hours away.

Despite being forced to loose 35 of perhaps the most important groups for the Green Festival - those with a campaigning, political (small 'p') or activist role in tacking the overwhelming crises faced by all inhabitants of the planet - people, other animals, plants and the planet itself - we are ready to roll.

We (and you) are still in a position to support 28 voluntary and charity groups, 22 small green businesses and crafters, 15 vegan caterers and food stalls and a whole host of activity providers, musicians and more at this free, family friendly event.

Before you join us at noon, check out the Live Map.
It is now as accurate as we can get it.

We have not had time to update the Directory of Stalls, so you can see those that will be with us, and those that we are so sad to loose (just this once) . Please show maximum solidarity with them, and with us.

Our Story

Nottingham Green Festival is organised by grass roots community based volunteers, with no statutory funding. The ethical standards and sustainability / environmental / human / animal rights ethos of the event are long established, having evolved from the pre-history of the Nottingham Peace Festival from which it has grown. At the last event, we estimate at around 5,000 in attendance.

Nottingham’s own green festival provides the place for everyone to learn, explore and try the latest in everything environmentally friendly and ethical, whilst also having lots of fun in the beautiful setting of the Arboretum Park.

We are proud to run the event ‘off-grid’. There is free live music powered by solar panels and battery storage equipment. Outdoor entertainment and adult & children’s activities plus community stalls with refreshments, ethical products and energy-saving technologies and information at Nottingham Green Festival. We encourage food vendors and stalls to operate with minimal or no plastic.

In 2018, in a report by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the world’s leading climate scientists warned that there were only a dozen years remaining to take the necessary action, for global warming to be kept to a maximum of 1.5C, beyond which even half a degree will significantly worsen the risks of drought, floods, extreme heat and poverty for hundreds of millions of people. The tipping points beyond which we will be unable to regulate the situation are just around the corner.
