Our aim at Dark Waters is to showcase some of the best bands the scene has to offer here in the UK, locally and from Europe. We pride ourselves on having performances from an eclectic mix of bands and music genres over the entire weekend in the hope that those in the audience will discover new music as well as enjoy the music they know and love from the scenes established bands. Club is the venue at which Dark Waters is held and is situated on the banks of the river Trent, not a stones throw from the city centre and has had a massive influence in helping shape the music scene within Nottingham. Over the years, it has hosted iconic bands from Led Zepplin, the Sex Pistols (their first gig outside of London), Black Sabbath and Ultravox! From the outside the Britannia Boat Club looks like an ordinary venue, but inside is a massive cave which provides something a little more unique to the festival experience that is Dark Waters. After taking a break in 2014 Dark Waters Alternative Festival will return in 2015. Plans are being made to make this years festival bigger and better! Dark Waters Alternative Festival will take place over 3 nights with live music and guest DJs showcasing the best mix of Goth and Dark Alternative music past, present and future!
