Explore Kimberley and discover some of Britain’s most fascinating bugs. Follow the trail map and look out for the colourful bug panels hidden around the town.

Can you find the Millipede, Ladybird and Red Admiral Butterfly?

Collect stamps from participating businesses as you go. Complete your trail passport and return it to Coasteroo on James Street between 1pm and 4pm Monday – Saturday for a chance to claim a cool prize! It’s just like collecting nectar from a flower!

Along the way, you’ll discover Kimberley’s independent shops, cafés and attractions, making this a fun family adventure for all ages.

We're collaborating with itsbmovementlab, Ziggy's Emporium and Rumbletums Café & Training Project to host a pop-up Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday 22nd October!

Halloween Costume Swap-shop, hot cobs, cakes and drinks at Rumbletums, complete with their very own haunted café - 1 costume per child, while stocks last.
(There's still 2 days to drop off any outgrown costumes for local children to choose from, drop them down to Rumbletums before 3pm Thursday.)

Activities at Ziggy's in their new premises on Main Street!

Potion Making, Spooky Photo Opportunities with the Animatronics at Toll Bar Square, followed by a "Thriller" workshop by the 2 Left Feet Dance Group and friends.

A perfect couple of hours for children(and adults) this Thursday!

There is still plenty of time to get that half-term clear out sorted! Unwanted or outgrown Fancy Dress/Halloween costumes are welcome at our Halloween Costume Donation Drive in partnership with Rumbletums Café & Training Project.
Just drop them off before Thursday 22nd 👍🏻
All costumes will then be available for local children to collect on Thursday 22nd at our Spooktacular Pop-Up evening.

This year we have partnered with Rumbletums Café & Training Project to host a Halloween Costume Donation Drive!
Unwanted Halloween/Fancy Dress costumes? Costumes that have been outgrown?

Drop them off to Rumbletums during their opening hours from Monday 28th September. Week commencing 19th October we'll be offering out one Costume per Child totally FREE!
All we ask is please ensure costumes dropped off are clean and in good condition!

More details will be shared over the coming weeks so give our page a follow and keep your eyes peeled.

Sadly, this year's Christmas Market has been forced to cancel.
This was a decision that was incredibly difficult for us to make, but unfortunately a number of factors played a key factor in our decision making process.
1. Due to circumstances beyond our control we have no viable indoor venue option without presenting a financially unviable event.
2. Rising costs of Traffic Management and Security Costs as a direct result of Event Management requirements set forth by higher authorities than Kimberley Town Council.
3. A decreasing number of volunteers and decreasing availability of the volunteers remaining. Our team work incredibly hard throughout the year on all the events that occur in the town for no ZERO financial gain or pay. Sadly as the average age of these volunteers rises and with no "fresh" legs joining the team organising and manning these events puts a huge strain on our team. Their physical and mental well-being is of key importance to us.
4. Declining numbers of vendors and stall holders of sufficient variety to be fair to traders and visitors alike.

It is incredibly sad to have to cancel any event we host in Kimberley as we know they are a great boost to local businesses and well loved by stall holders, residents and visitors. However we also have to balance that with financial viability of the event itself.

We are now focusing on ensuring that the Christmas Lights Switch On event on the 27th November is another huge success and we are working to enhance the offering of that event.

We understand that this will be a disappointment to many and for that we apologise.
We would however respectfully ask that for anyone who feels strongly about the community event scene in Kimberley to reach out to our Events Committee by contacting our Clerk at [email protected] and offer their help.

We are already working on ways to ensure that next year a Christmas Market can return to Kimberley so it isn't a farewell for good to the Christmas Market, but a sad "we'll see you next year".

Finally we'd like to thank the members of our community who will read this and understand the rationale behind the decision and recognise the incredible work from our team.

This time next week a fantastic town wide event put on by the Pubs of Kimberley will be underway!

Pubs across Kimberley have come together in collaboration to host the first Kimberley Fancy Dress Day.
Check out the individual pubs socials or ask at the bar to see what they are planning.
All the pubs are running a stamp card scheme that will see lucky punters win prizes from the prize draw!

This great initiative is guaranteed to be a great day out, well done to all the pubs for getting behind this idea put forward to them by our very own Mayor, Cllr Nick Dewsbury.

There will also be charity donation buckets available to donate spare change towards the Mayors Fundraising for the Kimberley Brownies.

A huge round of thanks to all our amazing vendors, traders, artists, dance groups, activity providers and security and traffic management contractors.

Today at the Kimberley Food Festival 2026 was a massive success once again and our biggest thank you goes out to the community, we host these events for you and you never let us down!

We would like to thank all the members of the Council, and the other volunteers who gave up their Sunday to ensure this event went ahead.
Big thanks to Cllrs Boneham, Boyce-Poyser, Dewsbury, Doherty, Eyre, Jennings, Kitchener and Mason, volunteers Barry, Gaynor and Marie and Matt for his PA services.
