As we celebrate Volunteers’ Week, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing volunteers who give their time, energy, and kindness to support our village hall.

The efforts of our volunteers, whether it’s setting up events, making tea, welcoming guests, cleaning, organising the safe running of the hall, or just simply being a friendly face, are what keep the hall at the heart of the community.

Volunteers don’t just help run a building, they help create a place where people come together, connect, are safe and feel they belong.

The hall wouldn’t be the same without the dedication of the volunteers.

Thank you for making a huge difference, quietly, consistently, and so generously.

Happy 65th Birthday to the wonderful Attenborough Church Pre-School

So many local families will have such fond memories of little ones taking their very first steps into their school journey here, this is a special place being such a cherished part of their early years.

It’s amazing to think of all the laughter, friendships, and milestones that have filled the hall over the decades.

If you’re able, do pop along between 4–5.30pm today (Tuesday 12th May) to join the celebrations. It would be lovely to come together, share stories, and reflect on all those happy memories ❤️

Today at Attenborough Village Hall, Attenborough Village we would like to wish Sir David Attenborough a very happy 100th birthday. David used to play very locally to here, pond dipping with his father, a lecturer at Leicester University when he was younger and it was where he reportedly developed his love of nature , aren't we lucky to have such a wonderful human being in the world 🌎.

Attenborough Nature Reserve are planning lots of events to celebrate their anniversary and his birthday this weekend, so pop a long if you have time 😊.

And for those in and around the village St Mary's Church Attenborough bellringers will be ringing out a special tribute 🔔 to Sir David this evening 🙂.

🌟 Volunteers Needed 🌟

Attenborough Village Hall has always been managed by a committed group of volunteers to ensure that it remains the outstanding community space it is today.

Our village hall is at the heart of the community, and we’re looking for new volunteers to join our committee and help keep it thriving.

We’re a friendly group who meet periodically to help organise events, manage the hall, and ensure it continues to be a welcoming space for everyone.

You don’t need any special experience, just enthusiasm, a bit of time, and a willingness to get involved in community life.

If you out and about in the village today why not pop down to the Bird Hide to help them celebrate their 5th birthday! They have been great supporters of the village hall since their arrival donating to us from the Scarecrow Festival. They'll be serving a free bbq to go with all that lovely craft beer! They're just over the road from the Village Hall 🙂 so pop along

Hi all! Our 5th birthday is nearly here. May the weather be kind and the drinks flow! Here are the timings for the main events. We would like to thank all our loyal customers who have supported us over the years and offer a free Burger. Enjoy! Also, every drink you buy from Friday 17th will get you a raffle ticket to win some stuff from our great
