Thank you so much to everyone who supported our concert at Eaton this afternoon - it was a fabulous recital to which everyone there can attest. Both the cello and harp are beautiful instruments on their own but the unique combination of the two was wonderful and quite mesmerising. Here’s a snippet of Clare and Eleanor in action. What a sublime end to our current season of concerts.

A captivating journey through centuries of sound from the intricate shimmering world of Marin Marais and Giovanni Girolamo Kapsberger to the profound beauty of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Expect dazzling virtuosity, intimate solo moments, and music that dances between passion and delicacy. Along the way, discover hidden gems by Stefano Landi and Nicola Matteis, before the programme gently unfolds into the hauntingly beautiful Six Studies in English Folk Song by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

From ornate Baroque brilliance to the warmth of English folk melodies, this is a concert full of contrast, colour, and emotion.

Our next concert and the last one of the season is two weeks today on 12th April although regrettably the advertised concert is having to be rescheduled owing to illness. This will probably take place in the Autumn and will be announced along with the programme for the 2026/27 season.

We are enormously grateful to cellist Clare O'Connell for coming up with an alternative programme. Clare will be performing with harpist Eleanor Turner in a delightful programme to include works by Kapsberger, Marais, Matteis, J S Bach, Eccles and Vaughan Williams.

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause but hope you will want to come to what promises to be a wonderful replacement concert. Details of this concert will be on the Eaton Concert Series website very soon.
