As we approach the end of 2025, we wanted to provide you all with a quick update on what’s happening to the Plaza.
The Friends Of the Plaza (Northwich) charity are working hard behind the scenes with the owners of the Plaza on the sale of the property to the Friends of the Plaza (Northwich). Once the sale has been completed, the Friends of the Plaza will be working hard with local authorities, Heritage England, The National Lottery and other funders to secure the relevant funding for the restoration and preservation of this Grade 2 listed building.
Before the sale can take place, the Friends of the Plaza must commission a property survey to highlight the scale of works required for restoration of the property, along with a management plan for how to complete the works. This survey is expected to take place Q1 of 2026.
We hope to have further updates to prove you in 2026, but in the meantime we wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
