βΌοΈ IMPORTANT NOTICE: Equine Flu Biosecurity Protocol βΌοΈ
The safety of your horses is our top priority. Due to the recent increase in equine influenza cases, we are stepping up our biosecurity measures. All competitors, arena hirers and visitors must strictly follow these protocols during your visit.
π Mandatory Vaccination & Passport Checks
- Up-to-date vaccinations: All horses must be fully vaccinated. Ensure flu vaccinations are current with no lapsed boosters.
- Passport checks: Please ensure that you have your horse(s)' passport available for spot checks of your horses vaccination history. Anyone with a horse that has not got up to date vaccinations will be asked to leave immediately.
π Stay Home If Unwell
- Check for symptoms: Monitor your horse before traveling.
- Home yard isolation: Do not travel if any horse at your home yard shows viral signs, coughs, or fevers.
βοΈ Strict On-Site Biosecurity
- Stables are off-limits: Visitors must not access any of the stable areas under any circumstances.
- No touching other horses: Visitors and competitors must not touch or pet any other horses on site.
- No nose-to-nose contact: Maintain safe distances in the car park and warm-up areas.
- No shared equipment: Do not share water buckets, haynets, or grooming kits.
- No hand grazing: Keep horses off the venue grass to prevent cross-contamination.
- Limit socialising: Return horses to your trailer or lorry immediately after your session.
Thank you for helping us protect our equine community. We look forward to welcoming you safely! π
