🚨 Newton Stewart Tennis Club AGM 🚨

🎾🌞JUNIOR TENNIS COACHING - BLOCK 3🌞🎾

Newton Stewart tennis club are delighted to be running a final block of junior coaching this autumn in partnership with Local LTA level 3 coach Richie Cunninghame outdoors on our tennis courts on York Road.

Due to coaching ratios, places are limited to 10 players per session (5 week block)

Please bring plenty of enthusiasm and water!!

All equipment will be provided and the sessions will be sociable and include fun skills, drills and games.

Session is open to P3-S3 pupils and you will be allocated your time of either
4.00-5.00pm (Beginners)
5.00-6.00pm (Improvers)

Groups will be confirmed (based on age/experience) once all slots have been filled and will be emailed to you by David Breckenridge from Newton Stewart Tennis Club.

Venue - NEWTON STEWART TENNIS CLUB, YORK ROAD, NEWTON STEWART
Dates: starting FRIDAY 29th August for 5 weeks

COST - £15 PER CHILD FOR THE 5 WEEK BLOCK TO BE PAID BEFORE OR AT THE START OF THE FIRST SESSION VIA BACS OR CASH.

Wow! What a turnout! Thank you for the fabulous showing at yesterday’s taster session - we didn’t even have time for a photo! We were astonished by nearly 30 kids, who came along to try tennis for free on Sunday afternoon. The rain thankfully stayed away and whilst being just a little bit chaotic 😂 it was fantastic to see so many enthusiastic and energetic faces at the club. Well done to everyone who took part!
As mentioned at the end of the session, if you would like details on how your kids can access the courts for the rest of the season then please drop us a direct message and we will share these.
And yes, we definitely want to arrange another session asap, as soon as details are available they will be posted here.

*Time change*🎾 🚨 FREE FUN TENNIS SESSION 🚨 🎾 Calling all primary school age kids in Newton Stewart - would you like to give tennis a try? Newton Stewart Tennis Club are running a free of charge fun session this Sunday 20th July from 4-5pm for primary age kids. Rackets and balls will be provided.

Just imagine if we could get some Newton Stewart kids taking part next year… 🤔

Another hot day in Dumfries as the 9s and 11s and under kids hit the courts.
We had 5 in the 9s event and 3 in the 11s with kids from Kirkcudbright Community Tennis Club Dalbeattie Lawn Tennis Club Stewartry Community Sports Club Gretna Tennis Club 2025 and Dumfries Tennis Club and again thanks to Mark and Dumfries Tours for sponsoring our D&G District Red2Yellow Tour.
In the 11s event with the 3 boys playing a Fast4 set it was Langholm's Calum Grant who came out on top with Louis Darrant of Dumfries taking second and William Craig coming third but the scores don't reflex how well William played. Well done to these 3.
In the 9s event it was Cumbria's Louisa Holliday who manage to win 4 out of 4 with Kirkcudbright's Hamish Girgan taking second after his 1st place yesterday. Remie Cullen, Hannah Lorimer and Jessie Craig completed the spaces and all kids played some great tennis in this heat. Well done to all the kids taking part from so many D&G clubs and thanks to Ryan and Mark of Mark Sindall Tennis Coaching & Racket Services for encourage these kids to continue with their tennis. 🎾
