๐ŸŽฅ๐ŸŽž๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฟ Some great coverage in The Herald of the art documentary Refugia; rare Celtic rainforest in Galloway. The documentary was filmed over a year and brings together the work of naturalist and writer Stephen Rutt, composer Ben Please and filmmakers Saskia Coulson and Colin Tennant.

It forms part of the Artful Migration residency programme, commissioned by Upland CIC and Moving Souls Dance and funded by Creative Scotland.

It's being premiered as part of our festival programme at Newton Stewart Cinema accompanied by a live performance of the original score.

New documentary Refugia: A Celtic Rainforest explores Gallowayโ€™s ancient Atlantic woodland.

๐Ÿ“– Explore some festival locations with Bentley ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿถ.
Welcome to beautiful Wigtown ๐Ÿ‘‹.
๐Ÿ’™ Bentley catches up with his friend Big Wig in the gardens where the big marquee will soon stand.
He enjoys a visit to childrenโ€™s bookshop, Foggie Toddle, sniffs out some wonderful stories and finds some art supplies ๐ŸŽจ in Wigtown Gallery for his mum, Sarah Louise Artist.
Bentley spots festival venue, The Merse and stops by Wigtown Primary, the venue for the childrenโ€™s events, including his one, before keekinโ€™ into the County Buildings, where many festival events take place.
A little trot past the bowling green, along South Main Street past venue Sacred Heart Church and a quick pit stop on Mercat Cross, before heading over to the box office at Number Twenty-Six to buy his mumโ€™s tickets๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ.
Time to play with his best pal Fergus, before heading to the Southfield festival car park ๐Ÿš˜, which is only a very short walk back to the festival centre.
Bentley also enjoys exploring Wigtown Harbour, which is the spot for a number of the festivalโ€™s outdoor events and walks ๐Ÿฅพ.

๐Ÿชฆ๐Ÿ“– โ€˜If You Think Iโ€™m Forgot Youโ€™re Mistakenโ€™ - Breโ€™s Tales from Beyond the Grave.

Thereโ€™s no place more packed with fascinating stories than a kirkyard โ€“ a place where Caribbean pirate hunters and heroes lie silently beside murderers and rogues.

When not behind the counter at his Wigtown bookshop, New Chapter Books, Bre Martin is likely to be discovered โ€“ notebook in hand - haunting one of Gallowayโ€™s many burial grounds.
