RIP Norman Baird

Thoughts are with the whole family at this time ❤️

Norman Baird 6th August 2025 peacefully in Daisy Hill Hospital, late of Chestnut Grove, Newry.
Beloved and devoted husband of Karen, cherished father of Andrew and Kathryn, a much loved brother of Gillian also a treasured son of Marshall.
Family and friends are welcome at Norman's late home on Thursday from 5pm and Friday from 1pm.
Funeral service on Saturday at 11am in Downshire Road Presbyterian Church with committal following in The Presbyterian Cemetery, Armagh Road, Newry.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by the entire family circle.

This afternoon we had the pleasure of handing over the full amount raised for MND Northern Ireland. Our final total finished at £2,100.

For one final time, we would like to thank all the businesses, all the players and everyone who turned out to watch and buy raffle tickets during our game.

Final Total Raised for MND Association £1950

We would like to start by saying thank you. Thank you all for turning out in a great number to watch our game. Thank you to all the players from both clubs Damolly Football Club and Windmill Stars FC who took part during the game. Thank you to the business that sponsored and gave us items for the raffle. Thank you to Damolly Women's for doing tea, coffee and buns during the game. Thank you to Newry Olympic Hockey Club for letting us use the changing rooms and function room on Saturday. Thank you Norman and Andrew for coming down and presenting the trophy for us.

Without you all, none of what happened on Saturday would’ve been possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, we can’t say thank you enough for everything that you done in a short space of time.

All roads lead to Norman Brown Park for the 3pm kick off for Damolly Football Club vs Windmill Stars FC.

We can’t thank you all enough for the support which we have have been receiving, from sponsorships, to getting donations for our raffle.
