Over a week on and our heart continues to be so full of gratitude. For all those that made LOOK OUT! possible. For all those that took a punt on us. For all those who came to enjoy the day. And for the the unbridled blessing of utterly extraordinary weather!

We also wanted to shout out some thanks to some lovely folk who helped us in the last week of prep for the festival...

Big up to Adam at for lending us some last min scaff at short notice.

Props to Dom and Josh at Belushi's Newquay for being so can-do in their approach to helping us power the Eothen Gardens stage the day before when we were struggling.

Heartfelt thanks to the lovely ladies at Towan Beach Newquay who lent us beach huts for performer changing rooms.

Thanks to Dani and the gang at Giggleprint who worked with us on a short lead time with professionalism and grace to provide amazing LOOK OUT! ped banners.

And more gratitude besides to Paul at Usfor Print & Signage who also helped us at relatively short notice to get some amazing programmes made up. (We tried a few times to call to say thanks but didn't get through. Hope you pick this up!)

So... big love to you all! Thanks for getting the vision and giving over and above to help make the festival happen :)

On 6th September, LOOK OUT! is part of the ‘Be Newquay Big Day Out’. This event sees Groundswell partner with Experience Newquay, Newquay BID, Cornwall Shop Small, Newquay Town Council, Visit Newquay and The Boathouse to bring one of the biggest multi-site community events that the town has seen in years.

As well as the fantastic LOOK OUT! Programme, be sure to check out all the other amazing happenings at other spots throughout the town…

Look out for some amazing community organisations getting in on the action at LOOK OUT! Our Beachfield Gardens space will host an array of exciting stalls, including Newquay in Bloom Newquay Leisure World The Salvation Army and Newquay Lions Club.

Newquay Salvation Army is a Christian Church and registered charity, supporting people of all ages in the Newquay community.

Newquay in Bloom exists to maintain planted areas and green spaces in Newquay and to encourage gardening in the community.

Better (GLL) run Newquay Leisure World and are a Charitable Social Enterprise owned by their staff and founded on our purpose and values to provide a different, fairer and better way of doing business. Their purpose is to improve the physical, mental and social wellbeing of local communities. At Newquay Leisure World, they are committed to the provision of leisure, fitness and cultural activities and facilities at affordable prices.

Newquay Lions are part of Lions International and are dedicated to raising funds to support local charities and families. They run events such as Newquay Carnival and operate a community minibus along with many other activities

LOOK OUT! would not be possible with out a whole raft of organisations and individuals who have pulled together to make it happen.

As well as all the artists and participants, we’re taking a moment to thank everyone who has supported LOOK OUT!

Huge thanks to our funders - The National Lottery Awards (Community Fund), Newquay Town Council, and Experience Newquay.

Muchos love to Towan Beach (cheers Wes!), Super Culture (Weston-Super-Mare), Wildworks, Golowan Festival and Sprout Health Foods for partnering up and being so 'can-do' and generous with what you have.

Finally… to all the hidden people who have given their time for free or given more than they were paid to do in sweat and blood. A big shout out to our volunteers on the day. And also those who have believed in the project and can see where it’s come from, and where it’s going!
