Planning an event or festival? Hosting a World Book Day celebration or marking Cornish heritage?
The Story Republic are now taking bookings for 2026. Their repertoire features new stories and poems inspired by Looe, Polperro, Liskeard and Redruth, as well as the Clay villages and St Just, alongside much-loved poems by Charles Causley, filled with grumbling kings, quarrelling pasties and sisterly rivalry over a Cornishman. Expect rousing shanties, captivating tales and a generous dash of wit. Directed by Connie Crosby, they bring energy, charm and imagination to any gathering.
Introducing Cornwall’s best-loved team of tale-telling troubadours. Cutting quite a dash in their Sunday best, they arrive with suitcases in hand and poems at the ready. This summer they’re set to delight audiences with songs, stories and irresistible pop-up poetry. They’ve performed on ferries, in fields and at festivals, as well as beaches, harbours, stately homes and castles, winning over crowds wherever they go.
The Story Republic make a vibrant addition to any event. You can also explore a selection of their digital stories below.
