The Isle of Wight Offroad Duathlon

The Isle of Wight Offroad Duathlon A challenging 3km trail run, 9km mountain bike ride and finishing with a 3km trail run.

The Isle of Wight Offroad Duathlon will be staged at the fantastic IOW Mountain Bike Centre on Shorwells' Cheverton Farm. A challenging 5km (or 3km for the Sprint distance) trail run over downland, through copses and along ancient pathways is followed by a 20km (or 10km) mountain bike ride on purpose built trails. Over (or around if you'd prefer!) bumps and berms and weaving through woodland, the

cross country course takes in all that the centre has to offer before winding it's way back to the transition area. A final 5km (or 3km) trail run will feature even more of the farms varied terrain, giving you a tough final challenge before catching sight of the finish line. Join us on April the 22nd and experience this great event for yourself.

Available for one day only, we present to you Abominable Snowman Ale!!! Crafted by the beer geniuses at Goddards Brewery, Snowman Ale will be available to purchase at the finish from our very own Bigfoot Ale Bar.

Looking at this years course, we think you might deserve a treat after the event!

We look forward to welcoming our largest field ever to the Isle of Wight Offroad Duathlon tomorrow!

Not entered yet? No problem - we are accepting entries on the day.

A few points for all participants...
- We are based at the farm this year - at the bottom of that very large hill rather than the top! Follow event signage which will be out on the road at the bottom of Cheverton Shute.
- Sign-on any time from 1700. The course will be open from then if you would like to put in a practice lap.
- Briefing is at 1810 and we will go straight to the start line for an 1815 start. All competitors start together.
- Our course is a little longer than planned - more like 3.5km/10.5km/3.5km - but you will love it when you are out there and you could consider it more value for money!
- Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available at the finish.
- We will award prizes as soon as we can after the last person has finished.
