Chiller 24

Chiller 24 24 hours of mountain bike racing around the weather proof trails of northern England. After years in the planning 2017 was the first Kielder Chiller 24.

The conditions were simply horrendous with constant sleet, snow, rain and driving winds. Through all this there were nothing but smiles and focussed determination as everyone braved the elements and battled each other for the range of podium places on offer. Kielder in winter is an unforgiving place. It sits 200m above sea level and catches the worst of whatever weather systems are blowing in. You

must be prepared with mind, spirit and equipment to see yourself through. We'll make sure you enjoy your time as safely as possible and will laugh hard if you stack it into the undergrowth. Now then...have you got what it takes to challenge the Chiller?

On the back of success at both the Chiller as a rider and the Puffer as pit crew it was time to catch up with all round 24 hour cycling legend and great bloke Keith Forsyth. Have a read.

7th November 2026. Write that date tentatively in your diary for another weekend of Chiller racing. Still need to tick boxes with Forestry England and the campsite but that's what we're aiming for. 🙏

The clean/dry up is still in full tilt but I thought I'd take the time to say thank you on behalf of Cold Brew Events to all you riders, supporters and watchers for a fantastic weekend. The weather was amazing, the tracks were hard wearing and super fast, every rider seemed to be completely on it and the torrential rain was kind enough to be falling before and after the race rather than in the middle of it. Well done to the timing people, marshals, campsite staff, forestry workers, coffee/pizza people and anyone else who made this event happen. It's a labour of love and a chance to mingle and race with like minded people who share a passion for this slightly mad sport. Let's hope we can do it all again in the future and thanks again for entering and making this possible. 😍

It's 6pm and time to look at the categories.

MV40 is held by a rampant Thomas Webb. Following behind are Peter Boyd and Paul Ward.

MV50 sees Mark Chryssanthou hold a 25 minute lead over Richard Wilson and Derek Queenan a further lap behind.

A stacked MV60 field has Rich Cutsforth and Tracy Boss within seconds of each other and SS Adrian Beale in third.

SS has Zen Smylie ahead of Adrian Beale and Derek Queenan.

Fat bikes has Chris Brierley in the hot seat out front.

Top racing!
