Well what a night! We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Copshaw Hootenanny fundraiser 🎉
We had a few technical hiccups to start with but I’m sure you’ll all agree it was a brilliant night and the dance floor was full of laughter, dancing, singing and a few extra tables! We raised a fabulous amount of money to help towards the costs of running the music festival later this year.
We’d like to thank Martin Walker for his amazing DJ skills, the Copshaw Celidh band; Carol, Sheila and Libby they all did a great job up against some tech issues that we’ll get sorted for next time, Gunther for his spectacular piping set, Sandy, Moira and Caroline for doing an amazing job in the kitchen, all the staff at Elliot the butchers for supplying the pies, Anne and Janet for manning the freezing cold raffle desk and Adrian and George for their help setting up the hall. We’d also like to thank Kielder Observatory, Mollie”s Bistro, Copshaw Clatter, the LLAGS, Nothing But Whisky, Barry Pateterson and Newcastleton Golf Club and some very generous villagers for donating raffle prizes and finally Tub Oli Downey for making it in time for the countdown!
