A fantastic day at Lurgan Bowling Club in the beautiful setting of Lurgan Park for the NIBA flag unfurling.

NIBA President Dan Dempsey was proudly presented with the flag from Immediate Past President Rodney Simpson, marking a special moment for the association.

We were honoured to have so many distinguished guests in attendance, including IBA President Thomas Cheevers, Lurgan Bowling Club President Sam McCombes, NIPGL President Arthur Rice, NIPBA President David Culbertson, and ILB President Valerie Doddy.

A friendly match followed, with the NIBA President’s Select taking on the Lurgan Bowling Club team in great spirit and competition.

Afterwards, everyone made their way to the Bannville Hotel for a beautiful meal, rounding off a truly enjoyable day.

Excitement is building as we look ahead to the season, League action gets underway in earnest next Saturday with a full programme of fixtures. Not long to wait now!

👏🥇 Congratulations to the Irish Senior Fours!

Further congratulations to the Irish Senior Fours who fought off a fantastic comeback from the Channel Islands to win the championship after two gruelling three-hour matches. The stamina and quality of bowling shown by both teams was outstanding throughout.

Congratulations to Rod Coleman, JR Nicholl, James Caldwell and skip Stephen Moran on a fantastic achievement.

We are especially proud that Stephen Moran, an Honorary Member of the NIBA, and James Caldwell both play for Whitehead Bowling Club, one of the valued clubs within our Association.

A tremendous performance by the gentlemen and a wonderful success for Irish bowls.

A massive congratulations to Tom Evans, our very own NIBA Honorary General Secretary, on being awarded the PLAYER of the SERIES trophy! 🏅

Tom did the Association proud as always — not only delivering outstanding performances on the green, but also continuing his tireless work off the green in support of our sport and our players. His dedication, leadership and commitment to NIBA is second to none.
