Town Moor parkrun

Just a quick update about Saturday.

Firstly, we have an almost full main volunteer roster so I am able to open up a roster for those who would like to be a pacer. Please leave a comment here or email us if you are interested.

Secondly, all is calm on the Moor in terms of the Hoppings other than the second big ride which is being erected today and tomorrow. It is a very tall ride and the only problem is if stronger winds delay assembly which pushes work into Saturday. If this happens we will have problem going ahead.

I will have a much better idea about whether we can go ahead tomorrow morning but as of now I am assuming that we can. Watch out for an update in the morning.

Hi Everyone,

Whilst the set-up for the Hoppings has commenced, we are hopeful that we will go ahead on Saturday.

It would be nice to get a full roster early so that we can open a pacer roster later in the week. We haven’t had pacers for quite a while.

We are still in need of 2 Marshals, 1 Barcode Scanner, 1 Tail Walker and a Photographer. If you can help with volunteering, please get in touch.

I will make you aware if we are able to open up a roster for pacers.

I will also make you aware if the set-up for the Hoppings prevents us from putting on an event.

Well done to everyone taking part in today’s parkrun and a huge thank you to all our volunteers who make this event possible.

Results have now been processed and should be on the way to you.

A reminder that we are cancelled for the hoppings for 3 weeks from 13th June. We are due to be on next week but will keep an eye on the hoppings traffic onto the moor over the next week so keep an eye out for announcements here and on our website should we need to cancel.

Hi All,

We are aware that vehicles associated with the Hoppings have arrived early on the Town Moor.

We have been assured that these vehicles will be clear of the paths and there will be no vehicle movement on Saturday, so as it stands we will be going ahead in the morning.

If anything changes, we will get back to you.

One final thing. We have had a Marshal drop out today so we are one short for tomorrow. If anyone would like to step in, we would appreciate it.
