Roc Newbury 10k

Following the unfortunate cancellation of the 2020 race, all entrants at the time of the cancellation, were offered the choice of a full refund, or to contribute their race entry to our chosen race charity Daisy's Dream.

Thanks to their generosity of the entrants and of race sponsor Roc Technologies Limited (who covered all of the race expenses), we were able to donate £1138.12.

Thanks to everyone for your support at this difficult time.

If anyone else would like to support Daisy's Dream, I’m sure additional donations to their 2020 general appeal would be appreciated.

Donating to our 2020 appeal will help us to provide over the phone advice to families, invaluable 1:1 support sessions to children and young people, as well as specialist group events that work to break down the sense of isolation felt by so many who have been bereaved.

Roc 10k Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We are sorry to announce that as a result of the Coronavirus, the decision has been made to cancel the Roc Newbury 10k race.
This decision is an unfortunate one, but following the governments guidance regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are left with no choice. In times of unpredicted uncertainty our number one priority is the health and safety of the public, and therefore feel that this is the only viable option available.

We would like to formally apologise to everyone for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause, but hope you understand. Further information will be following but we ask you to please bear with us as we work through the process.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that signed up and as soon as we confirm next years date hope that we can all rally together for next years event.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has entered the art competition.

In order to try and get as many entries as possible, we have decided to extend the competition deadline until Tuesday the 31st of March. With the race fast approaching this is a great way to get anyone under the age of 10 involved in supporting the race. The winner of the chosen design will also win an XBOX ONE alongside the picture being using on promotional activity during the day.

The design will need to be A5 in size and be one colour only. To enter please email your design, along with your name, to [email protected], or post to Roc 10k Competition, Jacobs Well, West Street, Newbury, RG14 1BD.

This year we are pleased to be supporting Daisy’s Dream. Established in 1996, Daisy's Dream is a professional support service who respond to the needs of children and families affected by life-threatening illness or bereavement. Working predominantly in Berkshire, Daisy’s Dream was originally established to meet the needs of children who had been bereaved. However, over recent years they have expanded their services to encompass and support families where there has been serious illness diagnosis.
