We loved having The Budapest Cafe Orchestra back at the Festival again! Along with performing at the Festival Parade, we welcomed them to the Corn Exchange Newbury and it was a fantastic night!

Throwback to our opening night! Ben Goldscheider performed the ever-popular Mozart Horn Concerto No.4, and a new work Sirens by GRAMMY-nominated composer Anna Clyne.

The concert opened with London Mozart Players performing Elgar’s ever-popular Introduction & Allegro under the baton of Jonathan Bloxham, and after the interval Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.1 sparkled in their hands!

Throwback to The Sixteen's choral pilgrimage concert at Douai Abbey during the Festival! We were wowed by their beautiful polyphony as they explored majestic music from the Spanish Renaissance alongside spellbinding works from James MacMillan and Kerensa Briggs.

We had such a wonderful evening with Jess Gillam and her trio at the Corn Exchange Newbury.

From Jazz influences with music by composers such Phil Woods, Sidney Bechet, Barbara Thompson and Rudy Weideoft, to Baroque energy from Corelli to joyous Gershwin and shades of folk, the programme had something for everyone to enjoy.

It was lovely to welcome back Ensemble Augelletti to the Festival for a concert in St Mary's Church, Kintbury.

Describing Bach’s students as ‘jewels that brightly burn’, Telemann championed Bach’s skill in arranging music to inspire a new generation of musicians as they performed ‘under the orange tree’ in Leipzig. Through their letters and memoirs, the concert's programme told the story of Bach’s students as they became ‘jewels’.

In the middle weekend of the Festival, we were joined by Philharmonia Orchestra, Adam Hickox and pianist Alim Beisembayev for an energetic 80th birthday concert for the Orchestra!

We had a wonderful time with RANT, Scottish fiddle music with a tapestry of melodies, textures, layers and sounds. They filled the Corn Exchange Newbury with their music during the Festival!
