Bit warm today wasn’t it?!! 🥵

Well that didn’t stop Westcountry Ultra 100 and Mendip Marauder 30 Miler course record holder Danny Hawkins from showing that he’s the king of Newbury by winning Newbury 10k in 32:41

His mum Liz also ran the race and definitely would have beaten him if he hadn’t said “What’s that over there?” and sprinted off at the beginning… right, Liz?….

Congrats to all who raced this weekend or did training runs in this kinda heat. It shows equal dedication to running in torrential rain ☔️

A massive shout out to the Newbury 10k team yesterday for an amazing (if slightly toasty) 10k around our beautiful town.

We'd love to see a sea of blue t-shirts on Saturday, so if you took part, please wear yours and we'll grab a picture at the briefing!

Many of the amazing volunteers that help with the 10k are regular parkrun volunteers here at Victoria Park and at Greenham Common parkrun and we're always grateful for their support!

We've got just a couple of slots left to fill in the roster for Saturday - a couple of barcode scanners, and an extra marshal would be great - please comment or get in touch via [email protected] if you're able to help.
