Come to CeltFest and meet Blaeddau Du

https://blaeddaudu.co.uk/

A Vikings re-enactment group portraying Hiberno-Norse and Welsh in South Wales circa 950CE. See period Combat displays, and our period Living History displays. Come and meet our Warriors and Crafters on the encampment where you will be able to try on a Viking helmet, hold a shield and weapon for that ‘Raiding photo’; also talk and interact with our crafts people, to discover crafts of the old ways such as tablet weaving, nalbinding, making clothes, dyeing, wood carving, leather work and cooking. You may even like to challenge one of our Warriors to a game of Hnefatafl or maybe your 11yr old (or younger) Warrior might like to take on our Warriors in shield wall combat in our ‘Kiddie Vike’.

Wow this is amazing! Clann An Drumma you guys are awesome!

It’s Deaf Awareness Week, which is a reminder of one of the more unique gigs Clann An Drumma has played. Performing for Gerry Hughes: the first Deaf sailor to sail solo around the world and tackle the Five Great Capes.

We started on stage, but it just didn’t feel right and we weren't getting the usual reaction.

We all hopped off the stage, onto the dancefloor, and everything changed. The guests, around 90% of whom were Deaf, surrounded us to press their hands against our drums, and feeling the vibration of the bagpipe drones. We say music is primal, but that night it was a literal, physical experience.

It was a proper lesson in how the beat is a universal language, whether you hear it or feel it 🤟🙌

Moonlight Lady 1111 brings Ancient Earth Energy to the world.
Specialising in hand crafted shamanic items and tools, responsibly and respectfully sourced from the British Isles. Powerful shamanic drums from native trees and animal hides. Sistrums and rattles crafted from the antlers shed yearly by Scottish deer. Smudge fans from wild goose who shed in the summer months, owl and buzzard gathered organically. Wands and staffs foraged from the forest floor year round. All of our items are created with love and reverence for the power of these sacred energies, birthed into being from our home studio in the magical hills of West Yorkshire.

As dedicated purveyors of the old ways our offerings are not limited to these carefully crafted items. Our additional offerings include carefully curated tools and artefacts for magical folk. From the newly aware and curious through to the seasoned energy worker. We include tribal incense, sage, palo santo and other sacred herbs, bells, antique items, charcoal disks, cast iron cauldrons, books, tarot cards, special tea blends, crystals, candles, magic keys and more.
