Candover Valley Rides Terms and Conditions
All riders must wear approved crash hats and body protectors are strongly recommended. Polite passing is allowed on the course.

Three fun rides that take place in May, June and August across beautiful Hampshire countryside
Dates & booking info at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/candover-valley-rides Horses and ponies must be 4 years old or over and should be fully vaccinated. Please do not arrive more than 45 minutes before your start time and leave no more than 30 minutes after you have completed the ride. All riders must

check in the with the secretary on arrival, check in with the steward at the start of the course and at the end of the course. Dogs are not allowed on the course and must be kept on leads at all times in the car and lorry parking areas. Riders are to stick to the marked course. Only riders are allowed on the horse course, no walkers nor cyclists. All riding participants have a duty of care to all other participants and should report any Health and Safety concerns to the organisers. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under the age of 16 must wear a RED wristband at all times; it is the responsibility of their responsible adult to write their mobile number on said wristband. The landowners and organisers accept no liability whatsoever for injury or damage incurred at the event to any person, horse or other property. Riders take part entirely at their own risk, and children, whether riding or not, are the sole responsibility of their parents or carers or responsible adults acting with the agreement of their parents or carers. The organizers accept no responsibility for damage to the participants property or animals at any time before, during or after the Event
We expect all riders to abide by current advice for vaccinations and horse health and to be responsible for the health and wellbeing of their horse at all times. We are not able to check vaccination certificates nor passports. No drinking water is provided on site. All entries must be paid in full at the time of booking. There are no refunds unless Government Guidelines or Legislation prohibit the safe running of the Event.”

If you haven’t already done so, please could we ask you to take part in the Government’s consultation on banning trail hunting. It’s important that as many people as possible respond, as numbers really do matter in consultations like this.

It only takes a few minutes, and most of the form is already completed for you apart from your name and contact details.
If possible, please also encourage anyone else in your household with an email address to take part.

The government has opened its consultation on how to implement a ban on trail hunting. You can use our e-lobby to quickly and easily respond.

Plans are already taking shape for our next ride on 26th July at Farleigh Wallop.

The route covers approximately eight miles of beautiful Hampshire countryside with optional jumps and a shorter route, so it's suitable for everyone.

There will be two photographers on the course to capture everyone as they go by

What a fabulous day we had for our first Candover Valley Fun Ride of 2026. A huge thank you to our very generous landowners for allowing everyone to enjoy such stunning scenery in a beautiful part of Hampshire. Thanks too to everyone who made today possible, we really appreciate how much time and effort and goes into making these days a success.

Well, that's a wrap for 2025's Candover Valley Rides.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our rides during the year, we've loved seeing many returning visitors year on year and it means so much to hear lovely comments as you reach the finish.

These rides wouldn't be possible without our landowners who generously allow us to plan our rides around some of the most beautiful parts of the country. And today a special thank you to the tractor drivers, who are working against the clock to get the last of the straw in before the rain, who stopped their work while horses past and even tried to catch a loose horse that didn't want a rider.

To our merry band of volunteers, we are so grateful to you to giving up your Sundays and Bank Holidays to check routes, guide riders, and be on hand to help.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2026 and will post the dates on here once they have been confirmed
