What a great day. Thanks to all who helped get this to the level of "FABULOUS" that it was. The volunteers and helpers, the sponsors, the exhibitors and traders, the sound engineers, the security team, the Police, the medical team, the Social club, the bands, a big shout out to our compare Wayne and the invaluable Necton men's shed, and most of all, the public that braved the heat, set up their tables and enjoyed the day.
Here's a few photos to start with but many more to follow as they come in. Folks arrived early to claim a spot in the centre and it soon filled up, spreading out the whole width of the sports field. A big thanks to Ryk Mead who unexpectedly had to step in to open the festival due to an unavoidable cancellation. Then we had Chris Manly, a local favourite with the festival taking the stage, brilliant as usual. Wasn't long before we had Brit-pop faves, the Counterfeit Brits rocking the crowd with a brilliant set. Next up, a real treat and new to the festival, Rich Young and Nik with a brilliant and eclectic mix of pretty much everything. Ryk Mead on next, now with his band, providing some excellent Blues and guitar wizardry. Last up, (pics to follow on the last two acts) were John Motors, a young London based band offering a real funky slant on a mix of original compositions and some known covers, with brilliant musicianship, this outfit simply oozed "groove" and wowed the crowd right to the end. More to follow....
