We're excited to announce that the opening act on the Roger McGough show will be popular poet and longstanding friend of the Festival - Paul Cookson.

A widely travelled poet who has sold over a million books, he is described by Henry Normal as 'a poet for all seasons'.

Expect laughter, occasional audience participation and moments of quiet reflection.

An extraordinary weekend!!

On Saturday Elles Bailey & Demi Marriner took our breath away with their jaw dropping vocals while the band behind them took the roof off the Civic - with guitarist Joe Coombs on fire for the whole evening.

A packed house savoured every moment, the Roots team behind the scenes - led tonight by Deb Rudge - saw to it that things ran smoothly, and sound team Charlie and Egan delivered a fantastic mix.

One of the great Nantwich Roots nights for sure.
