Please note, due to the historical nature of the building there is no lift because of restrictions surrounding conservation, so there is a short staircase to access the workshops upstairs.

🪢 Hand fasting Invitation

Following Leicester Witch Festival on Saturday 31st October, an attendee will be holding a hand-fasting ceremony at the Guildhall at 7.30pm.

The happy couple have contacted us and told us that Witch Festival attendees are welcome to stay and join the ceremony afterwards.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to attend, so numbers can be confirmed.

Hecate : Meeting Yourself at the Crossroads

Every life brings moments of uncertainty, transition and choice. Inspired by the ancient Greek goddess Hecate - guardian of crossroads, keys and thresholds - this workshop invites participants to pause and listen to their own inner wisdom.

Through myth, guided reflection and gentle embodied practices, we'll explore the crossroads we face, the paths we leave behind, and the courage it takes to choose what comes next.

No previous experience is needed. Suitable for anyone curious about myth, storytelling and personal reflection.

This workshop is included in your entrance ticket.

🐍Walking with Lilith: Reclaiming the Wild Within

Walking with Lilith is an immersive storytelling and somatic workshop that invites participants to encounter Lilith not as a demon or a villain, but as a guide. Through myth, embodied practices, reflection, voice and gentle movement, we'll explore the parts of ourselves we've hidden in order to belong — and what becomes possible when we choose to welcome them home.

Additional tickets are required for this workshop and spaces are limited. Investment is £8.
Please note this workshop takes place up a small flight of stairs and due to the historical nature of the building there are no lifts.

Marianna Portela is a storyteller, writer, witch and facilitator of women’s circles whose work explores myth, folklore, and the archetypal wisdom of the feminine. Originally from Brazil and now based in the UK, she weaves traditional tales with somatic practice, ritual, and reflection. Marianna leads storytelling events, workshops, and community circles that invite participants to reconnect with intuition, body wisdom, and deep stories that shape women’s lives. Her work is rooted in the study and research of the divine feminine across myth, folklore, and ancestral storytelling traditions. 🌙 🐺

Magical Poppet Making Workshop
🪡✨

This Halloween at Leicester Witch Festival, join us for a Magical Poppet Making Workshop, where you’ll be guided through the creation of your very own enchanted poppet. 🌞
Workshop lead by Elisa Mary O’Rouke Gray 🪶

Poppets have a long history within folk magic and witchcraft. Across different traditions, handmade figures have been used as symbolic representations of a person, an intention or a desired outcome. They could be made for healing, protection, love, prosperity, blessing and transformation, with herbs, threads, colours, fabrics and personal symbols chosen to give the work meaning.

Poppets can be beautiful tools of sympathetic magic, a tangible way of focusing our thoughts, hopes and intentions into something we have created ourselves.

There is something wonderfully old-fashioned about sitting with fabric, thread, herbs and your own imagination, slowly stitching together something that carries a little piece of your magic.
