Morecambe Music Festival

All Good Things Come To An End….

After TEN Years of hard work and commitment to Morecambe Music Festival, we’re sad to announce Andy Creevy has decided to step down from the team. 🙏 ☀️ 🌊

He was there right at the start, in its formative months and years, which was crucial and became a huge reason why we got off the ground in the manner we did. 💙

In the nine festivals we’ve had to date, Andy has looked after and programmed the entertainment for 66 venues in total (believe us, that’s a lot of organising and pressure to get right!) 🧐

Andy’s highlight of any festival is always playing to the large audiences it attracts, especially with his favourite band The Reggie Mentals! (Of which he is the front man) 😁

He’s the joint longest serving member of the team and we’ll miss his witty character, personality and the vibe he brings to the festival family every year. 🎵 🙌

Andy, what can we say to you. It’s been quite the ride I’m sure you’ll agree. You’ve been so wonderful to work with and without you, we simply wouldn’t be in the position we are today!

We sincerely hope you are as proud of yourself, as we are of you, THANK YOU 🙏

You’ll always be our festival brother! 🩵 🧡

The Trimpell has been one of our many fantastic festival venues for some years now. 🎵

They have created a fantastic family friendly destination for families to go to during the weekend!

We’d appreciate it, if you could please read there post and support in anyway you can! 🙏

We can confirm that we will be donating £100.00 towards their target! 🎯

A POLITE note to all acts who have the opportunity to perform at the festival in 2027 (from venues potentially looking to book direct).

We have a responsibility to fair play and to give absolutely everyone a good chance of being part of what we showcase in July each year.

The bigger the festival gets, the more inquiries we get from further afield to play (which is fantastic) and what we’re finding is it’s resulting in more rejections than what we’re morally happy with.

We have a rule of thumb that no act should take more than three gigs over the weekend. This is to help create larger variety, more choices and options to the festival goers and potentially introduce new genres to our line up.

As a festival that has created these large audiences that as acts, you love to perform in front of, we’d be very grateful if in return you could respect our ‘maximum three gig ethos’.

A quick note to our fantastic venues. What you have all helped create over the years is an incredible joint effort, something to be proud of and what we have now is a very stable, rock solid festival weekend to which thousands travel from all over the country. Don’t be afraid to shake things up and introduce new ideas! 💡

Many thanks, the festival team 🙏

We will RETURN in 2027 for our 10th Anniversary!

Something tells us we might need to start work on this one a bit earlier than the norm! 😉
