We're very proud to announce that P&A Group is now B Corp™ Certified!

What does that actually mean?

B Corp UK certification means we've been independently verified as a business that considers the impact of our decisions on people, communities and the environment, alongside commercial success.

For our customers, suppliers and partners, it's reassurance that we're committed to doing business responsibly and transparently. For our team, it's a commitment to creating a workplace where people are supported, valued and given opportunities to grow.

Achieving B Corp certification wasn't a box-ticking exercise. It involved a detailed assessment of how we operate across areas such as governance, employees, community impact, environmental responsibility and customer relationships.

This milestone reflects the work of people across the entire P&A Group, including P&A Pallets & Packing Cases, The Woodworks Garden Centre and Café, and Zest Outdoor Living, and marks another step in our journey to build a business that creates long-term value for everyone connected to it.

We're proud to join a global community of businesses using their influence as a force for good.

P&A Pallets Honoured at Circularity in Practice Event with Royal Attendance!

We are thrilled to share that P&A Pallets & Packing Cases, the founding division of The P&A Group, was invited to the prestigious Circularity in Practice event on Monday in Manchester, an event promoted and attended by King Charles. Rhys Hughes, Group Director for P&A, represented the company at this landmark event.

This invitation came as a recognition of our recent achievement in winning the Excellence in Sustainability Award from the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce

Our team was recognised for leading the way in sustainable timber, pallet, and packaging solutions - combining innovation, circular economy practices, and responsible forestry to reduce carbon footprints for our customers, communities, and the planet.

Being part of such an important event alongside industry leaders and royalty underscores our commitment to driving meaningful change in sustainability and circular economy practices across the sector.

Last night, Andrew Baker (Managing Director) and Janet Major (Marketing Manager) attended the 2026 Mold Community Awards on behalf of The P&A Group.

While we didn't win the Business Award on this occasion, being nominated by the public and shortlisted is something we're genuinely proud of. To have our work recognised locally, and to share the room with so many local heroes, was an achievement in itself.

It was an inspiring evening, hearing the stories of individuals, volunteers and community groups who go above and beyond for Mold. There are some incredible people quietly doing extraordinary things in our town - a real reminder of what community spirit looks like in action.

It was clear that the strength of a community isn't built by one organisation, but by many people consistently showing up and contributing in their own way. As a Group, alongside the charities and community partners we support, that's exactly what we remain committed to doing.

So a big congratulations to all the winners and nominees! Mold is fortunate to have such dedicated people and organisations.

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been awarded the Excellence in Sustainability Award at the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce Annual Ball & Recognition Awards held on 14th November.

This prestigious award, sponsored by Cyd Innovation, recognises organisations that are leading the way towards a low-carbon, low-waste and sustainable future, and we are honoured to be recognised alongside fellow finalists Cheshire College South & West, Storengy UK, and Theatr Clwyd.

Why we won...

Our Pallet & Recycling Division has been working tirelessly to reduce environmental impact across our operations. Their commitment to expanding recycling capabilities, reducing waste, and driving innovative sustainable solutions has made a measurable difference, not only by cutting environmental impact but also by supporting our long-term ambition to operate responsibly and sustainably across the entire P&A Group.

This achievement reflects the passion and commitment of everyone involved in our sustainability journey.

Thank you to the Chamber for this recognition, and congratulations to our amazing team on this outstanding success!

What a night for Mold Alexandra FC!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy an evening of top comedy, all while supporting Mold Alexandra FC, a club that continues to be safe, welcoming, and inclusive for the whole community.

We’re proud that P&A Pallets & Packing Cases were able to help by donating the pallets for the DIY stage... and what a strong stage it was! A big shout-out to Paula Ellis for constructing it and to all the Mold Alex volunteers who kept the night running smoothly.

We loved being part of such a fantastic community event, and we can't wait for the next one!

We’re thrilled to share an incredible update from the Justice Garden, created in collaboration with the University of Liverpool School of Law & Social Justice, Sioned Edwards, and our partners Melcourt and Protek Wood Stain.

Over the past year, two groups of around 20 young unaccompanied asylum seekers have helped bring the garden to life, using donated materials including upcycled timber from our Zest Outdoor Living exhibition stand, Silvergrow peat-free compost, Melcourt topsoil, and Protek timber treatments. These young people didn’t just plant and grow, they built benches and a table using P&A’s timber, helping create a peaceful, welcoming space now used by staff and students across campus.

In June, the young gardeners were celebrated at a special event and received certificates of achievement from the university.

Professor Helen Stalford described the garden as “a unique oasis of calm and integration” and a place where “projects like this, though modest, inspire hope and understanding in our community.”

We’re incredibly proud to be part of something that’s making a meaningful difference, and excited to hear that the project is set to continue, with support from Liverpool College and the University’s gardening society.

We’ll be visiting soon to see the results for ourselves and to plan the next phase.

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that our recent Charity Yard Sale at our Saltney site raised a fantastic £3,000 for our 2025 Charities of the Year, the MS Society and North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR).

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it happen, your community spirit was incredible.

We sold over £28,000 worth of products at clearance prices, and while we didn't make a profit, we're proud to donate £3,000 to support the amazing work of both charities.

This event was part of our 40th anniversary year, where we're committed to making a positive impact and reaching our £20,000 fundraising target.

Our team is already gearing up for more challenges, including the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge on Friday, June 20th!

"This was a brilliant example of our team and community coming together to make a difference," said our Managing Director, Andy Baker. We couldn't agree more!
