Moffat Promotions Group is delighted to sponsor the 2026 Moffat Art Try It Day on 10th October 2026, 10am to 2pm. Along with Moffat Town Hall Redevelopment Trust, MPG are funding this day so that you can go along FREE OF CHARGE* to try a range of arts, including charcoal sketching, collage, and acrylic painting. There is no booking or appointment system, because the artist-mentors want you to be able to try a way of creating and spend ages on it if you love it, or move onto something else if you find it doesn’t work for you. So please be prepared to wait your turn, or pop back later if the event is busy.
This year each artist-mentor is inspired by the Dark Skies of Moffat - the nocturnal wildlife, the northern lights, the stars and planets and the tranquility of focusing on the sounds, smells and sights of the twilight and night.
* The day is free of charge but if you want to try pottery there is a contribution requested towards the cost of the materials. There will be a raffle, to raise money towards the cost of future similar events, but there is no obligation at all to buy tickets. Moffat Art want everyone to be able to Try It, without worrying about money 😍.
