We are now nearly two years into Freddie and his family’s cancer journey. As a community, we have done our best to support them in many ways — and just as importantly, to raise much-needed funds for the charities that support them day to day.

It has been incredible to see local businesses and individuals creating events that truly keep on giving. With that in mind, we will be sharing and promoting these events to help make them as big and successful as possible.

Please share them, attend them, or simply talk about them to help raise awareness. And if you have an event planned, feel free to drop us a message — we’d be more than happy to help promote it.

The weather was perfect, our hosts, were exceptional and the people of Mirfield and from further afield came out in numbers to support the cause. This was never a surprise, as from day one of announcing this event we have had brilliant support from both individuals and from businesses. Thank you very much, we literally couldn’t have done it without you 👏🏼

We are pleased to announce that the event has raised over £10000, which will be split between Freddie and Candlelighters. Thank you so much 🧡

If you’re coming to Freddie’s 24 hour cricket, we’d encourage you to walk to Mirfield CC if able. If driving, please be considerate when parking and follow the advice of the parking attendants.

We have a limited number of chairs out on the field, so please bring your own seating or blankets for the event.
