A Message from the SkyFest Team 💫
We’d like to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the very first SkyFest at The National Bowl, Milton Keynes.
Thousands of you came together for what was the First Fireworks Show at The National Bowl and while the show itself was truly breathtaking, we also recognise that parts of the experience didn’t go as planned.
In the hours leading up to the event, unreasonably heavy rainfall caused extremely challenging ground conditions across parking areas and access routes. Despite every effort the weather created delays and made movement in and out of the site more difficult than anyone anticipated.
This was Year One of SkyFest, and the first time a fireworks show of this scale has ever been staged at The National Bowl. It was an untested site for this kind of production, and while much of it went brilliantly, we’ve learned a lot about what needs to improve operationally for next year.
Despite the rain doing its best to dampen spirits, you all powered through and the sky truly lit up in a special way. We’re already planning to make next year even bigger and better, with more food units, improved traffic flow, and a few tweaks to keep things running smoothly (and drones flying safely!) whatever the weather.
Our goal has always been to bring families and friends together for a magical, shared moment under the night sky and that vision hasn’t changed. We’re proud of what SkyFest achieved in its debut year, and we’re already working hard behind the scenes to make SkyFest 2026 a truly unforgettable experience for everyone.
Thank you for your patience, your understanding and your incredible support. ❤️🔥
We’re listening, we’re learning and we can’t wait to welcome you back next year to a bigger and better experience.
