It wasn't meant to be for Martin and the team at The Pride of Britain Awards last night. Martin was up for national 'Fundraiser of the Year' after winning a 'Regional Fundraiser of the Year' award for his campaigning to improve the treatment of spinal cord injured people by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and raising £1 million for Spinal Injuries Association just five years after sustaining a spinal injury in the Manchester Arena Bombing.

Huge congratulations to the national fundraising winner, Sandra Blockley MBE, and also to the other well-deserving winners on the night. A fantastic occasion, which you can watch in full on ITV at 8pm this Thursday.

It was a pleasure for Martin Hibbert and other members of the team to attend the JustGiving awards in London last night. We were fortunate enough to be nominated for Fundraising Team of the Year. It was a brilliant night surrounded by so many inspirational people.

Unfortunately, we didn't win the award as it was an incredibly tough category. A massive congratulations to 3 Dads Walking. Very deserving winners.

We are so grateful for all the support that has allowed us to get to this point, having now raised over £800,000 for Spinal Injuries Association to support more people affected by spinal cord injury.

We are so close to our £1 million goal. If you can, please do continue donate at: https://martins-mountain.justgiving-sites.com/
