This family orientated event is immensely popular with the local community of Milngavie, Bearsden and the surrounding areas and takes place at the West of Scotland Football Club, Glasgow Rd, Milngavie, Glasgow G62 6AQ The Bearsden & Milngavie Highland Games began in 1973 and what started out as a small fundraising event all those years ago has developed into the biggest single day out in East Dunbartonshire. We also attract visitors from all over the world. THE EVENT IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC

Included in the menu of events throughout the day are all the Traditional Highland Games events; Wrestling, Pipe Bands, Heavies, Arm Wrestling & Scottish Dancing. On top of that we have the Haggis Hurling World Championship. We provide fairground rides and shows, on-site catering and beverage, as well as exhibitors, trade stalls, and displays. The Bearsden & Milngavie Highland Games are organised by volunteers who give up their time free of charge, and any profits are donated to Funding Neuro – our Charity partner.
