Founded in 1942, it presents high quality professional classical chamber music concerts in Milngavie near the city of Glasgow, Scotland. Milngavie Music Club is one of Scotland's leading chamber music-promoting societies, presenting a highly regarded annual international chamber music concert series in Milngavie on the edge of the city of Glasgow. Concerts are held on Fridays once a month between

October and April. The venue is Cairns Church, 11 Buchanan Street, Milngavie G62 8AW. The intimate atmosphere and warm acoustic of Cairns Church is an excellent setting for these concerts featuring top musicians from the UK and abroad. Our last concert of the season - this Friday, 20 April, at Cairns Church. The great Dunedin Consort brings its professional chorus to sing a rich and varied programme of a ca****la music. Tickets are selling fast so book now to avoid disappointment! Milngavie Music Club's AGM is at 6.15 and the concert starts at 7.30. This Friday's (20 March at 7.30) concert at Cairns Church is a wonderful programme of great piano trios by Mozart, Smetana and Brahms. It's played by the distinguished Shaham-Erez-Wallfisch Trio, who are finally making their Milngavie Music Club debut after their original appearance was cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Founded by the well-known British cellist Raphael Wallfisch, they are a group of international musicians, all soloists in their own right, who have played in the world's most famous concert halls and have made many successful recordings. Lovely start to the second (2026) half of our season last night, when a big audience enjoyed the musical brilliance of Elena Urioste and Tom Poster with their Jukebox, a rich mix of marvellous music from Stephen Sondheim to Leos Janacek. Audience participation involved plenty of fun choosing some of the music by clapometer - a great way to brighten up a cold, dreich January evening!

Elena Urioste and Tom Poster start the year in style with 'Jukebox' - their brilliant audience-participation concert of fabulous music for violin and piano. These two brilliant musicians perfected this live format on Youtube during the Covid lockdown, offering listeners a chance to vote for pieces they wanted to hear. You'll have that chance as an audience member on Friday 16 January at Cairns Church (7.30pm). Why not come along and join the musical fun - a great way to lighten your darkness in these wintry days!
