Confirmed 2021 game!

Due to all the restrictions in 2021 the game has now been rearranged for Friday 1st April 7.30pm.

This is at the end of the current university season and not too close to the end of the current club season. This should then allow for all players, past and present to be able to attend.

The game is expected to take place as usual at saltergill (Acklam rugby club) but this will be confirmed asap!

Spread the word and comment below if you are able to attend and more importantly play if you are a past player!

16/11/2021

Due to the absence of any university sport for the last 18months this years event is going to be rearranged with a plan to host the game in March 2022.

The university team has not had regular fixtures since March 2019 and with many players completing their studies and not having a full recruitment in 2020 and 2021 this will give the university team mor chance to build as a squad and also allow those past players a chance to get back into playing ways with clubs.

In addition to this safety has always got to be first and foremost. The growing number of cases of covid is a factor to keep everyone safe and not have an outbreak whilst playing as everyone will need to return to home life with work, study, families and friends.

There will be an announcement in the New Year when a date is booked in and hopefully by then things will have calmed down with covid to have a full PvP event!

20/11/2020

Today would have been the start of Past v Present 2020!

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 this years event has been cancelled and we will be working on pulling together dates for 2022 to return even bigger and better!

25/11/2019

1 WEEK TO GO!!!

Fixtures are confirmed on the event page.

Can each team please ask for all players to donate £3 towards the PvP event as we look to grow the weekend and make it an even better experience every year!

Simple Rules for PvP:

1. Its a friendly event for all
2. Everyone wanting to play can play, no matter age or ability its all about taking part and being involved as a Teessider. The weekend is all about mixing with all graduation years and not just a selected group for a team, make every effort to consider all.
3. Each team is to provide help with officiating, kits and making sure everyone is involved.
4. Each team can do fundraising for charity or for the event on top of the match fee which will only go back into the event each year or towards the club/sport team fund raising.
5. If you are a past player working full time, then find your opposite player and offer them a drink (they will return it when they graduate).
6. Please make every effort to go into the SU post fixtures and share stories and memories of past and present times.
7. All results need to be sent to George Reeves (SU Activities President or Adrian Rose PvP Event Organiser).
8. Present Team Chair/Committee to pay in any funds to the SU - PvP Account.
8. Trophy Presentation will be done at the end of each game with photos ideally from all players which can be used for future events.
9. Any facilities used need to be left in the same condition as before any fixtures.
10. Everyone to have fun!

For any issues please contact either George Reeves or Adrian Rose with any questions which can be done through this page.
