Animex Awards is an international competition for student animations, held each year as part of the Animex Festival of Games and Animation, at Teesside University, UK.
Each year we receive between 1000 - 2000 eligible entries from more than 80 countries.
Animex Awards celebrates the unique art of animation, bringing you some of the best student animated films from across the globe. This year, animations will be screening at several local venues during April - May 2018.

Toon Boom Prize for 2D Animation

BCS Prize for CGI Computer Animation
The British Computer Society are excited to sponsor a special prize for 3D animation, open to any entry of work created in 3D using cgi animation. The award winner will receive an Alexa Echo Show.
Judging panels from previous awards have included representatives from Walt Disney Animation Studios, LAIKA, ToonBoom Animation, Beryl Productions International, Atomhawk Design, Pixar, ILM, Disney, Aardman Animation, Sony Image Works, DreamWorks and Electronic Arts, to name a few. The pre-selecting jury also include a team of animation academics and a team of students.
