New workshops‼️

Do you know a creative young person who’s looking for a fun, low pressure environment to try something new? Our new workshop series is here to provide exactly that.

Zine making is an accessible, inclusive medium with roots in punk, LGBTQ+ and youth culture, and currently has a thriving community in the North East.

Thanks so much everyone from Wade and I (Miki) and the TZF gang to everyone who came along to our little experimental Zine Fest yesterday, ate the strange vegan cakes I’d made and waited while I got the milk frother thing to work, and for stopping and making zines.
Well done TZF regular Sally for this brilliant image of the two of us !
And to her and all the stallholders who filled the room with their positive creative epicness and travelled from as far as Newcastle and York - you are the bestest! Four more added to our Ziney clan
Have to give big thanks to Luke and Jamie our gorge volunteers for absolutely cracking putting up the decorations and generally running about for us.
The point of what we do- and you may not realise this - is to allow everyone and anyone access to the world of arts and culture through making zines. We also support those who need it to access this world.
We worked with a youth group recently and they had a stall at the event, selling the collaborative zine we’d made. We also supported a creative who is financially vulnerable (as we often do) to attend.
This time by printing their brilliant zines and art which they were struggling with doing on the local library printer.
We always keep stalls cheap and everyone sells for less than a fiver to make the events accessible and we have all sorts of extra accessibility considerations.
We’re about to embark on a new set of workshops with young people in Redcar on a Monday night at the Literary Institute with the support of funding from so we can continue doing what we love.
If you know young people who might be up for this get them to follow us
