Summer has arrived at Creative Melbourne Gallery!

🌿 RURAL ESCAPES 🌾

We are excited to welcome you to our new exhibition, Rural Escapes! A homage to the beauty of the Peak District, Rural Escapes captures the rolling hills, exquisite sunsets, tranquil lakes and stunning landscapes in the place we call home.

See if you can spot places you recognise — perhaps you’ve spent many an afternoon hiking up Stanage Edge, or admiring the meadows in the Derbyshire Dales.

This summer, escape to the country. 🌱

⭐️ We are commissioning a SCULPTURAL ARTIST to create an artwork for our 21st anniversary event!

🖌️ We would like to invite applications representing artists interpretations of the theme “HUMANITY, NATURE & CREATIVITY”. The work should be inspired by the sketchbooks and artwork created by Ronald Pope (www.ronaldpope.co.uk).

🖼️ The work will be exhibited at Melbourne Hall gardens in a sculpture trail throughout August and over the festival weekend, before being moved to a permanent location.

💰 A budget will be available for each artist to include artist fees, materials, fabrication, delivery and installation.

Join Creative Melbourne Gallery for a FREE festive lantern workshop this weekend 🌙🕯

✨ Festive Lantern Workshop 🌙

🎄 Our community workshops are back for the Christmas season, and this time the whole family can get involved with our Festive Lantern Making workshop!

⭐️ Join artist Lise Bennett and creative producer Clare Limb as they guide you through this fun and festive activity, perfect for children keen to get in the spirit.

🖌️ Trace & draw a Christmas design, with plenty of books to inspire and trace from!

📆 When? 1.30-3.30pm, Saturday 13th December. Drop in and stay as long as you wish!
